Moving to Oklahoma in 2002, Oregonian Rick Willis saw a niche that needed to be filled. Drive-thru espresso shops are abundant in the Pacific Northwest and were far and few between in the Midwest. He brought with him an award winning coffee, personally trained his employees and set a high standard for quality and consistency. The first JIve In Java opened in Miami, Oklahoma on September 25, 2002. He now owns and operates two shops with more in the works.

Rick Willis owns TALCO,LLC an Oregon limited liability company which has operated an express gourment coffee shop under the name "Jive In Java" in Miami, OK since August, 2002 and in Joplin, MO since September, 2003.
